Working out or Working in?

August 1, 2008 , , , , , ,

The definition of working out is to use up energy you have. Working in means to get back some energy you have lossed. Some people are just too exhausted to exercise. Imagine taking a new person who is recently divorced, eats McDonalds 3 x week, drinks about a pot of coffee per day, and has a very demanding job and who hasn’t moved in a while…. Now, let’s put them through a typical gym trainer workout program. What do you think the result would be? You have to ask yourself a simple question, “Does this individual have enough energy to work out or should they be working in”?

With this perspective, you can now see why most people fail when they begin their workout programs with less then qualified fitness professionals.
