Grass fed meats vs conventional farmed garbage meat

Grass Fed or expect long term illness

grass, fed, beef, corn, wheat, paleo, chatham, livingston, nj, new jersey, millburn, short hills, florham park, real food

There is no comparison.  They are as different as apples and jiffy peanut butter.  At a close glance, the grass fed meats will have a much richer color (more red color in beef), better taste, leaner (less fat), they will contain no fungus, and omega-3 to omega-6 ratio is 50/50.  Below is the list of allowed feed for cattle on a conventional farm (non-grass fed):

  • Same Species Meat
  • Diseased Animals
  • Feathers, Hair, Skin, Hooves, and Blood
  • Manure and Other Animal Waste
  • Plastics
  • Drugs and Chemicals
  • Grains

Would you eat anything that was fed from this list?  Real cows eat real grass.  That’s all.  If you feed an animal anything other than its normal food, it will become sick.  Just like feeding humans cereal and twinkies. They are not real food, and therefore you see all kinds of illness develop from eating that way.  If you have not seen the movie Food Inc. yet, I would highly recommend it because it just scratches the surface of all the problems that go into food manufacturing.  Please feel free to email us any of your questions regarding any health or fitness topic and we’ll do our best to help you.
